The all-new KONA’s sleek exterior design started with an EV-first approach, combining a clean, aerodynamic nose and Seamless Horizon Lamps with flowing lines. But despite its futuristic appearance, the all-new KONA never lets anyone forget that it’s an SUV.
Seamless Horizon Lamp.
The pure, distinctive front end is highlighted by a Seamless Horizon Lamp, arching elegantly across the entire bonnet for a more dynamic road presence.
Dynamic contour lines.
On the side, sharp diagonal parametric surfaces harmonise with the satin chrome moulding that slices through the belt line to sporty rear spoiler – creating a contour that wraps around the entire vehicle.
Look on the bright side.
The distinctive twin headlamp design features full projection LED headlamps integrated in the wheel cladding, which combine with the bonnet’s Seamless Horizon Lamp for an eye-catching lighting signature.

Mirroring the front for a harmonious overall look, the rear Seamless Horizon Lamp rounds out a unique LED lighting signature that really sets the all-new KONA apart from the crowd.
Active air flaps.
To improve aerodynamic performance, KONA Hybrid uses upper and lower active air flaps and KONA has an upper active air flap – This also lends an EV-like appearance to both while improving efficiency.
Sculpted black wheel arch armour.
The dynamic styling of KONA Hybrid and KONA is accentuated with boldly sculpted wheel arch cladding in black, which incorporates both the headlamps and taillamps for a rugged look.

The elegantly curved panoramic display features two integrated screens for a high-tech look: a 12.3” infotainment touch screen and 12.3” digital cluster.

When it comes to cargo and storage, the all-new KONA offers generous trunk space of 466 litres (VDA) – 30% more than the previous KONA. It’s also simple to adjust: you can fold down the rear seats flat in seconds without even having to take off the headrests. And with the seats folded flat, you have a roomy 1300 litres of space for weekend escapes – and big boxes of whatever you want to take with you.

Inside the roomy cockpit, the shift-by-wire gear selector has been moved from the centre console to behind the steering wheel, which allows more storage in the open console area.
Rotational cup holders.
The clever rotational cupholders in the centre console can be retracted when not in use, giving you the flexibility to neatly store other items.

For added peace of mind, the all-new KONA has been equipped with the latest Hyundai Smart Sense – our cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. For the first time, the KONA Hybrid has been equipped with Highway Driving Assist – a combination of Lane Following Assist and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control – it utilises sensors and map data to ensure safe operation as well as to automatically adjust speed.
Highway Driving Assist (HDA).
KONA Hybrid features Highway Driving Assist, which combines utilises sensors and map data to ensure safe operation as well as to automatically adjust speed.
Surround View Monitor (SVM).
Tight parking garage? No problem – Surround View Monitor gives you a 360-degree view of the area to make manoeuvring confined spaces easy and safer.
Blind-spot View Monitor (BVM).
Now you can see the rearward left- and right-hand side views in the digital cluster. The cameras are activated by the turn indicator during lane changes.
Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA).
Enjoy easy parking in tight spots with RSPA – You can move KONA Hybrid forward and backward using the Smart Key buttons to control it – with you standing outside of the SUV. 2
Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist Reverse (PCA-R).
When reversing, if an obstacle is detected via the rear-view camera or rear ultrasonic sensors, PCA will display a warning and, if necessary, apply the brakes.
In Cabin Camera (ICC).
The system uses an In Cabin Camera to analyse the driver’s face and, in the event of drowsiness or carelessness, alert them or intervene, if necessary.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT)

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)
Using radar in the lower rear bumper, the system warns you of traffic in the blind spot. Should you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert and brake to prevent collision.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).
Uses the front camera to monitor the lines of the road. In case of an unintended lane departure, it will warn you and can apply counter steering torque to guide the car back to the lane.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, the system not only warns you if vehicles approach from the side – it also applies the brakes automatically.

Developed to reduce emissions without compromising on being fun to drive, the all-new KONA offers the widest range of powertrains in the segment. Here you can choose from a petrol engine, a petrol 48-volt mild hybrid, and a full hybrid.
Electrifying efficiency: the all-new KONA Hybrid.
The all-new KONA Hybrid uses electric power to help you go farther on a litre of petrol. All without you having to charge a battery or change your driving habits. Taking world-class fuel efficiency to the next level, it is equipped with both a petrol engine and a battery-powered electric motor: a full-parallel hybrid drive system. Regenerative braking charges the battery, so you don’t have to.

The 1.6 GDi direct injection petrol engine and battery-powered electric motor work together to deliver outstanding performance with a combined output of 141 HP/104 kw.

The all-new KONA 48-V mild hybrid.
Save fuel and reduce emissions with the optional 48-volt mild hybrid system offered with the 1.0 T-GDi petrol engine (MHEV). It supports the combustion engine with additional torque during acceleration – depending on the battery’s state of charge and the degree of acceleration. As a result, the powertrain’s fuel economy and CO2 emissions are improved.
